Many businesses are using Oracle software products. Oracle is the leading international supplier of enterprise software solutions for business information management. It is the second-largest independent software company worldwide – and the first company to develop and deploy Internet-enabled enterprise software across its entire product line.
You do the math. If many organisations, including most Fortune 500 companies, use Oracle software products, there will be a high demand of Oracle certified professionals. You may already have the knowledge that an Oracle certification tests for but no meaningful experience to demonstrate that. Certifications on your resume are a very visible way to demonstrate your knowledge and get professional recognition.
Did you know that Oracle is doubling down on its pursuit of startups to join its cloud offerings with its first U.S. accelerator and a virtual program for more established startup companies? Because Oracle’s accelerator doesn’t take equity in the companies that it hosts, success for the company will depend on it gaining long-term, fast-growing customers for the cloud unit through the accelerator program. Sounds like it’s a good time to consider learning more about Oracle products, right?
Once you have determined your ambitions and career path, you can start researching on what certification to get. You want to expand your knowledge base and validate your skills to appeal to potential employers and working on becoming Oracle Certified will make you a better technologist.
How to navigate the labyrinth
Brandye Barrington, Sr. Program manager at Oracle recognises that it is pretty difficult navigating the Oracle Certification labyrinth. He states in his blog that if you did, you may have come away with your head spinning. “While there are many offerings in many layers of technology for a wide and diverse audience, it may be difficult knowing where to start.” In his blog he tries to help the reader to navigate through the Oracle Certifications and choose the right one. It’s worth a read!
New Horizons learning institute offers various courses to help you prepare for the tests in order to get Oracle Certified. The most popular courses are within these 4 categories:

So, where to start.
Explore the above specialists areas in more detail, then choose a certification to pursue based on the technology area that interests you.
You’ll then need to prepare for an exam or two. But if you’ve done the ground work, you’ll not have problem in passing.
Once you’ve started you can build on the knowledge and gain more and more specialist skills, making that CV more and more valuable.
We wish you the best – and will be here every step of the way.
