This 2-day course equips students with the skills and knowledge to install and configure HP Insight Control integrated management solution for physical and virtual servers. Students will spend the time learning, installing and configuring HP Insight Control capabilities to proactively manage system health through remote management tools. The course will also cover the integration of various options within HP Systems Insight Manager: ProLiant Support Pack version control.

Monitor and Manage network systems with HP Systems Insight Manager
Pre-requisites:
HP recommends that students have attained the following credentials or levels of experience before taking this course:
Introduction to Introduction to HP Insight Control WBT (HK317AAE)
Recommended completion of HP Insight Foundation (HE643S)
Familiarity with general networking terminology and basic network security concepts.
An understanding of one of the following operating systems:
- Microsoft Windows 2000, 2000 advanced, 2003 Standard, 2003 Enterprise Edition or Windows XP

Much of the Insight Control, Foundations of Management and Monitoring with Systems Insight Manager v6.2 course centers around the concepts of simplifying systems management. This lab is intended to introduce you to the idea of system management from a single-system perspective and to show what would be required to manually perform system management tasks without HP Systems Insight Manager 6.2 and Insight Software.

Proper installation of HP Insight Control installation is a critical step towards the successful use of HP Insight Control. After completing this lab you will be able to successfully verify the installation requirements and perform a basic installation of HP Insight Control.

Verify that the system configuration of the host that will become the Central Management Server meets the system requirements for installing HP Insight Control
Remediate any software or configuration issues that will negatively impact the installation
