NRT   The Diploma of Project Management is designed to provide the skills and best practice framework and principles to ensure all workplace projects are completed to the level expected from both the organisation and its clients. Our program material is based on the latest benchmark publication, A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK®) version 5, which offers an understanding of project management skills and knowledge needed throughout the entire lifecycle of any project.
To complement the above project management areas, students will also gain invaluable knowledge in the areas of operational planning, continuous improvement, self-management and team leadership.

This unit determines the skills and knowledge required to manage the scope of a project.
This unit highlights how to manage time in projects. Techniques like decision analysis methods, subject matter experts and contingency planning are all examined.
This unit involves determining quality requirements, implementing quality control, and assurances processes to ensure project quality standards are met.
This unit looks at how to identify, analyse and refine project costs to produce a budget, and then how to use the budget to control project costs.
This unit analyses the skills required to effectively and efficiently manage the human resources that are assigned to the project.
This unit identifies the skills and knowledge required to effectively link people, ideas and information together throughout the project life cycle.
This unit identifies how to manage risks that may impact on achieving project objectives.
This unit examines how to integrate projects into an organisation. With emphasis on project scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, communications, risk and procurement.
This unit involves learning how to develop the skill of goal-setting, motivational strategies, and other time management tools to ensure a productive vocational career.
This unit identifies the skills and behaviours required by managers to effectively lead their teams.
This unit focuses on the development of systems and the analysis of information to monitor and adjust performance strategies, and to manage opportunities for future improvements.
This unit looks at how to develop, implement and monitor operational plans.

The Diploma of Project Management is suited to those participants who are currently managing workplace or home based projects. It is also ideal for new project managers who have managed a number of projects already. It would also suit more experienced project managers who have not had any formal project management training or management training. Business owners would also be suitable candidates for this qualification.

Job titles suitable for this course include project manager, business owner, senior project lead and business operator.

Further this qualification is suited to participants who possess a sufficient grasp of the English language, mathematics, adequate levels of intelligence, and an appropriate attitude and levels of motivation that will enable them to undertake the demands of a Diploma level of qualification.

For employees who are new to project management, we recommend they undertake the Certificate IV in Project Management Practices (BSB41513) first before undertaking the Diploma of Project Management.

Participants can complete this qualification through two different pathways:

- Training and Assessment
- Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) including: Recognition of current competency (RCC) and mutual recognition of qualifications and/or Statements of Attainment from other RTOs (Credit Transfer.)

Preferred pathways for candidates considering this qualification include:
- BSB51413 Certificate IV in Project Management Practices or other relevant qualification,

Or

- With six to 12 months vocational experience in a project managerial role but without formal supervision or project management, management qualification.

After achieving the BSB51413 Diploma of Project Management, students may proceed to the Advanced Diploma of Project Management (BSB61215) or other Advanced Diploma qualifications.
