A new look and feel

If you are a regular Skype user you will find that Skype for Business has a very familiar user interface with a twist of Microsoft Lync features.

When you hover the cursor on any contact, you will be provided with the quick actions buttons.

Improved meeting window

Skype for Business offers a very user friendly meeting window. The chat message is designed perfectly for you to identify your recipient and all the conversations are tabbed; removing the hassle to open multiple windows to view your important chat history or your memorable moments.

The meeting windows has been designed so that controls and menus can be found easily.

File preview during the conversations

You can now right click or tap a file that someone has sent you during a meeting or a conversation, and doing so will allow you to preview, download, forward or delete the file with a single click, making your experience seamless and more productive.

Integration with the Skype directory

Skype for Business also allows you to connect to Skype users. When you are searching contacts, you can specify your own personal contact list or contacts sourced from the Skype directory.

A compact call monitor

Skype for Business comes with a compact call monitor which monitors your call progress. The call monitor also allows other actions like mute or end the call.

At the end of the call, rate my call allows you will provide feedback about the call quality, similar to what users maybe familiar with in the Skype platform.

A wide range of emoticons

Skype for Business has the same set of emoticons offered by the consumer edition of Skype
