Dreamweaver CC - Pop up thumbnails of image and colour filenames

 Nov 01, 2016

I always try to give the images I use in my web pages relevant names if I can. Realistically, who can possibly remember what DSC00012.jpg is? But now Dreamweaver will display a pop-up thumbnail (complete with width and height) for an <img> src attribute or CSS background-image URL value. No preferences to set, it just works and is a significant benefit while you are coding.

As an extra bonus, Dreamweaver will preview colour values as well, whether in hexadecimal, rgb() or rgba() format. And if you roll your mouse over any colour name—whether it is in a CSS rule or not—you will get a clear idea of just what shade of Green that #4C6229 really is.
